Donald Francis Serres died June 3. He was 79. 

Mr. Serres was born April 21, 1934, in Oregon City to Ted and Nellie Serres. He graduated from McLoughlin grade school in 1948, Oregon City High School in 1952, Oregon State University in 1956 and Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1960. Upon graduation, he joined the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged as a captain. In 1962, he entered private practice with the Oregon City Veterinary clinic, specializing in large animal care.

He is survived by his two brothers, Jim (Corene) and David (Lorraine); and nieces and nephews.

A rosary will start at 10:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial Wednesday, June 12, at St. John the Apostle Church in Oregon City. Memorial donations can be made to St. John the Apostle School.
