Bernadette McCormick Taylor, a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish, died June 14. She was 79.

Mrs. Taylor was born March 13, 1934, in Spokane, Wash., to Bernard and Lila McCormick. She grew up in Tacoma before going off to college at the University of Puget Sound and later Washington State University. She worked as an airline attendant for United Airlines. She married Vance Louis Taylor in 1958. She worked for 40 years as the executive director of the Oregon Academy of General Dentistry.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Vance; children and spouses, Madeline and Chris Fish, Vance Taylor, David and Wendy Taylor, and Barry and Melissa Taylor; and eight grandchildren.

A rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, June 20, with funeral services at 1 p.m., Friday, June 21, at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Memorial donations can be made to Mount Angel Seminary or the OHSU School of Dentistry.
