Anna Violet [Testa] Benedetti, a member of St. Patrick Parish, died Jan. 7. She was 89.

Mrs. Benedetti was born Aug. 21, 1924, in Glassboro, N.J.  She worked at Western Union during World War II, then as a secretary at RCA in Camden, N.J., before she married, Oscar Benedetti, her husband of 59 years.  They opened an ice cream parlor and ran a movie theater in Williamstown, N.J. She moved to Oregon in 1987.

She was preceded in death by her husband. She is survived by her sister, Eleanor Lanzalotti; four children, Marlene (William) Toffler, Eileen ((Don) Plum, Gregory (Rebecca) Benedetti and Jeffrey Benedetti; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Diana (Benedetti) Hogan, Diva (Benedetti) Troiano, and Edna (Benedetti) Thomas; and many nieces and nephews.

 A service was held at Holy Rosary Church.
