Adolph Thomas Satalich died March 24. He was 83.

Mr. Satalich was born Nov. 18, 1930, to John and Angelena. He attended St. Patrick School and graduated from Central Catholic High School. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He played professional baseball, signing with the Portland Beavers. He played most of his pro career for the Salem Sensations and Eugene Emeralds of the Northwest League. He quit pro-ball and signed up with the semi-pro ILWU Local 8 Longshoremen, playing in the Portland City League.

He is survived by brothers, Rudolph and Jimmie; sister, Mary, Chino Hills, Calif.; son, Andrew; and a grandson.

A recitation of the rosary will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 5, at Hamilton-Mylan Funeral Home, Vancouver. A graveside service will follow in Park Hill Cemetery, 5915 E. Mill Plain Blvd. A celebration of life reception will be scheduled for a later date. Memorial donations can be made to St. Patrick Church Restoration Fund.
