Devotees pray the rosary at the 2011 Rosary Bowl. This year's event is set for Oct. 6.
The annual Rosary Bowl Northwest, a day of fervent Marian prayer, is set for 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6 at the Oregon State Fairgrounds. The event, entering its sixth year, is held in the Pavilion Building.

The Rosary Bowl coincides with the visit of the National Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Our Lady of Fatima USA. The statue begins its tour of Oregon at the Rosary Bowl.

Keynote speaker is Bill Sockey, custodian of the statue. He will speak on Our Lady of Fatima.

Admission and parking are free. Priests will be on hand for the sacrament of reconciliation.

The day includes a 10 a.m. Mass with Archbishop John Vlazny and retired Auxiliary Bishop Kenneth Steiner. Rosary, Adoration and Benediction get going at 11 a.m.
Open all day is an exhibit on the world's eucharistic miracles.

At 1 p.m., participants can enroll in the Brown Scapular with the Carmelites. A Divine Mercy Chaplet follows at 3 p.m.
