Catholic Charities has ranked eighth of 100 best nonprofits to work for in Oregon in a tally printed in Oregon Business Magazine.

“We strongly believe that it is important to treat our employees with dignity and respect in a manner consistent with our values and how we serve the people who come to us for assistance,” said Dennis Keenan, Catholic Charities' executive director. “This ranking validates that our effort is making a difference in the daily lives of staff. It is important employees know we greatly value, support and appreciate them.”

The rankings are made using confidential employee surveys. Topics include benefits, management, trust, work environment and career development.

This year, 170 organizations took part in the survey and are separated into three groups according to size. With more than 200 employees, Catholic Charities falls into the large nonprofits category.
