“I always really had a strong sense of the presence of Jesus in the Eucharist,” remembered Murphy, one of nine children whose family home was directly across the street from the parish. “I loved the church and I loved God.”
John Merzbacher nearly shattered that deeply held faith.

We know of businesses that closed and banks that have failed. Each day we calculate anew the cost of waging war and not seeking peace. We are not as likely to ignore the “hidden” costs that seem part of every project and plan.

A — There really is no simple explanation, historically or theologically, for the differences between Islam and Christianity.
